Megumi graduated from Tokyo University of Foreign Studies with a specialization in Portuguese. She worked at a leading law firm as a paralegal before joining LPA Tokyo. She provides advice to domestic and international clients on various aspects of corporate and commercial services and all related formalities as a Judicial Scrivener(Shiho-shoshi).
Scope of work:
- Commercial Registration: incorporation of company, articles of incorporation amendments, director and corporate auditor changes, capital increases/decreases, merger, company split, debt equity swap, dissolution and liquidation and various corporate reorganizations.
- Real Estate Registration: handling inheritance, estate division agreements, real estate disposal and transfer.
- Drafting documents for submission to courts and legal affairs bureaus: complaints, briefs, merger agreements, company split agreements.
- Translation of contracts and other legal documents (English to Japanese, French to Japanese).
